Before any of that, he had a gaming channel that did fine and then quietly stalled at 40,000 subscribers. That plateau is what got him hooked on the numbers. He wanted to know why people who clearly liked his videos stopped showing up, and the usual advice about posting more and fixing thumbnails never really answered it.

These days he writes about the psychology underneath the metrics: why viewers leave in the first thirty seconds, why a video can pull a million views and almost no new subscribers, how loyal fans drift off without ever hitting unsubscribe. He cares less about quick hacks and more about what keeps an audience coming back.

When he is not pulling apart someone's analytics, he is testing his own theories on a second channel he refuses to name.
